Physicians, health providers, nurses, healers, faith and community members are invited to join us for a series of six virtual Latino conversations.
ABOUT THE SERIES:
From prescriptive to culturally delicious, this series will be focused on conversations designed to inspire collaborations between Latinx Lifestyle Medicine specialists, Latinx healthcare professionals, trusted healers in the Latino communities and allies of Latinx health to amplify Lifestyle Medicine efforts nationwide. Cardiometabolic diseases disproportionately impact Latinx communities in the U.S., and our goal is to explore ways we can work with patients and the community to apply lifestyle medicine pillars, including a whole-food, plant-forward approach to nutrition, which can can help reverse and prevent cardiometabolic diseases. Funding support is being provided by Ardmore Institute of Health.
This program was designed and is being directed by Angie Neison, MD, CCMS, DipABLM, Family/Culinary/Lifestyle/Obesity Medicine physician at Sharp Rees-Steely in San Diego. Dr. Neison also oversees Flavors4WellnessMD.
